Backache problems are a major complaint of most Americans as recorded by a therapist in the health industry, over 80% of Americans experience backache problems at least 2-3 time in their lives.
A backache is usually not serious but accounts for staffs missing work and doctors visiting homes, it’s a long list if you know what I mean?
A backache is commonly recorded amongst adult between the age of 35-55 years, this is so because individuals within this age bracket have engaged in strenuous jobs that causes much pain and distorts the original arrangement of bones, tissues, and ligament in the back causing backache.

Muscles, ligament, tendons, bones, cartilage in forms of the disk located between the joints of the backbone (vertebra) are a major component of the human back little alteration in the natural arrangement of these components be it chemical( body secretion) mechanical ( external force)is a potential cause of backache.

Bad Mattress: Bad mattress maybe fallen deep in the middle not keeping the spine straight is a potential cause of backache.

Diagnosis of backache problems
Most examinations of backache are physical examinations – these involve the physicians observing every known cause of backache if the result is unclear the physician may proceed to run an X-RAY examination on the spine just to see if there is any damage spot in the spine may be sustained in an injury (accident).
If the case remains unclear the physician maybe proceed to request for blood samples of the individuals in suspense of an infection.
CT or MRI scan aids in revealing herniated tendons, nerves, ligaments, blood vessels and in rare cases bones.
Bone Scan: is also a useful tool in identifying tumor cells in the spine which could lead to backache.
Treatment of backache problems
Some backache relieves on their own in facts some pains are temporal.
Anaesthetics: These are over the counter drugs which are painkillers such as paracetamol, diclofenac, aspirin, and cortisone etc
- Rest: This remains one of the most efficient ways of dealing with backache just remember to rest on a plain surface.
- Anaesthesia & narcotic: These are hard drugs such as codeine or hydrocodone
- Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT): These therapy practice can help relieve backache problems.
Bottom line: Backache ain’t that bad of a healthy state, in some cases, they are temporal with adequate rest and OTC drugs they can be resolved but in cases of chronic ones a medical physician should be consulted.
